Fees & Payment

SST is charged at the standard 8% service tax rate on all Info-Tech Academy courses, applied on top of the course fee. For example, a course fee of RM1,000 becomes RM1,080 after adding 8% SST.

For HRD Corp claimable courses, the claim limits, including RM10,500 per group per day for in-house training and up to RM1,750 per participant per day for public or online training, are inclusive of this 8% SST, so the SST amount is already factored into the claim cap and is not claimed separately on top of it.
All payments are generally non-refundable. However, if a cancellation request is received more than 3 days before the training date, a 50% refund will be provided. Cancellations received less than 3 days before the training date are not eligible for a refund.

Subsidies and Grant

HRD Corp

HRD Corp administers the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF). Eligible employers contribute a levy to the fund and can draw on their available balance to support approved employee training.

For in-house training, current HRD Corp rules cap claims at RM10,500 per group per day (minimum 7 hours), equivalent to up to RM1,500 per training hour per group . Public and online training follow a different structure: up to RM1,000 per participant for a half-day (4 hours) session , or RM1,750 per participant for a full day (7 hours), both inclusive of 8% SST .
The claim amount depends on the training format and the employer's available HRD Corp levy balance. In-house training (minimum 7 hours, 2 to unlimited participants) is capped at RM10,500 per group per day.

Public or online training is capped at RM1,000 per participant for a half-day session (4 hours), or RM1,750 per participant for a full day (7 hours), both inclusive of 8% SST. The final eligible amount is capped by whichever is lower: the scheme limit for the chosen training format, or the employer's remaining levy balance.
HRD Corp training fees are claimed through the eTRiS portal. Employers log in with their HRD Corp credentials, then go to Application, Grant, and Apply Grant. From the Scheme Code dropdown, they select the code "HRD Corp Claimable Courses: Skim Bantuan Latihan Khas" and click Apply, search training provider (TP) coID & search the training programs offered by TP then fill in the training details, including course name, training dates, and number of participants.

Under HRD Corp's revised rules effective 15 June 2026, training may only commence 14 calendar days after the grant is approved, so applications should be submitted well in advance, typically 15 to 21 days before the intended training date, to allow for processing time and any HRD Corp queries. Once approved, the application cannot be modified, any change to date, venue, or trainer requires cancelling and resubmitting.
After training is completed, the claim is submitted by attaching completion documents under Claim, then Submit Claims with Grants. No upfront payment is required, as HRD Corp debits the training fee directly from the employer's levy account once the claim is approved.
